In addition to great food and celebrating your community on Saturday, there will also be ~LIVE MUSIC~ provided Dragoni & Son. Come groove with us 🕺💃🎶

Dragoni & Son are Jim Dragoni and his son Andrew. Andrew and Jim have been playing together since 2005 using keyboard, electric-acoustic guitar, piano, organ and bass. Together they cover standards, blues, jazz and jazzed classic rock interpretations. The father-son bond is evident with seamless intuitive communication and musical magic. Their approach is original and heavily influenced by Jim’s experience going back to the pre-Beatle era, circa 1962 and thereafter. Jim has played with Mose Allison, Larry Coryell, Odean Pope, Bobby Zankel and many others. Other performances have been Lincoln Center in NYC, Philadelphia Folk Festival (2024), Havana New Hope and many more. Jim has recently released two CDs: My Man Mose, the Songs of Mose Allison and Waking Dreams, an acoustic guitar compilation of original music. Cookie Bundy has worked for the Mt. Airy Business Improvement District since 2015, hired as a Street Ambassador, now serving as Crew Supervisor. While his primary responsibilities are making sure that the litter is removed from the Germantown Avenue commercial corridor, and that the hanging baskets and pocket parks survive the summer, he has gained the respect and appreciation of all who visit the commercial corridor for the warmth and care that he extends to everyone he encounters, truly embodying the spirit of ambassadorship. Cookie consistently goes above and beyond his official duties. Whether directing traffic when a streetlight goes out, or helping a driver change a flat tire along the Avenue, Cookie is there to lend a hand. Mt. Airy is a cleaner, safer, prettier and friendlier place because of him.

Christina Jackson studies urban ecosystems and community relationships as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Rutgers University, so it’s no surprise that she’s been actively involved in two of the most pressing issues facing our community in recent years: class leveling at Houston Elementary School, and tenant advocacy at Cresheim Valley Apartments. Whether leading a rally alongside fellow parents and students on the steps of Houston as their Home and School Association’s co-president, or facilitating tenant resource sessions, Christina consistently leads with passion and grace.
