DESCRIPTION:September 9th\, 2023 12-6pm\nSeptember 10th Rain Date\nAllens Lane Art Center is celebrating 70 Years of bringing Mt. Airy together through the arts! In partnership with West Mt Airy Neighbors\, we will honor this important milestone by hosting our first Mt Airy Arts Festival. This free public event on September 9th will bring together local arts organizations\, artists\, makers\, craftspeople\, performers\, and young artists throughout the Northwest. The festival will take place at Allens Lane Park and will highlight and celebrate the vibrant arts and culture scene in Northwest Philadelphia. The day will include: \n\nArt-making stations in a variety of media for youth and adults with our faculty and exciting guest artists\nTheatrical and musical performances by local actors and musicians\, including Karen Smith and Blew Kind\, PJ Brown and Her Resistance\, and the West Philadelphia Orchestra.\nAn art market of over 70 local artist vendors\nChildren’s Art exhibition with artwork showcasing young artists\nLots of fun and creative games\nFood trucks and culinary artists vendors\nRelaunch of the Mt Airy Arts Alliance\n\nMt Airy Arts Festival
