DESCRIPTION:Early in the 20th Century\, the City of Philadelphia made region-wide plans that included a large intersection of three parkways in the heart of Chestnut Hill. Condemnation and clearing opened the ground for the grand intersection—a traffic circle. But World War I interrupted the work. At that point\, the community was not yet settled in its final form; if the project had continued\, Pastorius Park would have never been. \nJoin Landscape Architect Rob Fleming and Friends of Pastorius Park Vice President James McNabb\, as we explore the history of Pastorius Park and it’s future as a newly designated Level 1 Arboretum. \nThis event is held in partnership with the Chestnut Hill Conservancy. This year’s event promises to be exceptional\, with a special guest appearance by Jemal Singleton\, the Philadelphia Eagles’ Assistant Head Coach and distinguished Air Force Academy football player\, graduate\, and coach. \nAgencies such as NASA\, CIA\, National Park Service\, EEOC\, Service Academies\, Senior ROTC\, and many others will be in attendance. SUMMARY:Music Fest on the Chestnut Hill West
DESCRIPTION:We will be hosting a multi-site concert along the Chestnut Hill West line. We will meet at 5pm at Chelten Station for a set featuring Dani Hawkins\, a local cellist. Then we will all hop on the CHW and head to Tulpehocken station. Dani will join Midnight on the Water\, a string ensemble for a set at 5:30pm. Then we will load up on the train once more to Carpenter Lane Station for the musicians to join Koof for the biggest set of the night starting at 6:20pm. It’s going to be a blast. We hope you can join us!\nThese concerts will take place in the parking lots of each station. The rain date is Tuesday May 21st. Feel free to bring food and drinks for a post concert picnic at the EcoLab!

DESCRIPTION:TownFair\, hosted annually is a free community-oriented event that promotes local artists\, health\, and wellness and celebrates the unique cultural history of this national landmark site. Guests will explore our 20-acre arboretum site and visit with local artists and vendors. The celebration will include traditional hearth cooking and paper making in addition to therapeutic and wellness-based activities. Located as a trailhead into the Wissahickon Valley Park\, Historic RittenhouseTown\, is a well-traveled and loved Parks and Recreation site and one of Philadelphia’s most important historical cultural resources.

SUMMARY:Chestnut Hill West Stations Concert
DESCRIPTION:Save the date for Thursday May 16th! \nWe will be hosting a multi-site concert along the Chestnut Hill West line. We will meet at 5pm at Chelten Station for a set featuring Dani Hawkins\, a local cellist. Then we will all hop on the CHW and head to Tulpehocken station. Dani will join Midnight on the Water\, a string ensemble for a set at 5:30pm. Then we will load up on the train once more to Carpenter Lane Station for the musicians to join @koof for the biggest set of the night starting at 6:20pm. It’s going to be a blast. We hope you can join us!\nThese concerts will take place in the parking lots of each station. The rain date is Tuesday May 21st. Feel free to bring food and drinks for a post concert picnic at the EcoLab!
