SUMMARY:Wanted: Neighbors to Plan Fun Fundraiser(s)
DESCRIPTION:WMAN has been spending a lot of money in its efforts to save the Chestnut Hill West.  At last week’s Cresheim Village Neighbors meeting\, we brainstormed some fun ways to help WMAN defray its expenses. \nSome suggestions were: \n–Save the Train Night Out in which participating restaurants in the Northwest donate a percentage of their proceeds to WMAN \n–game day at High Point on a weekend \n–our wonderful musicians perform at one of the local venues (e.g.\, Mermaid Inn\, Malelani)\n–happy hour/other event at one of the area restaurants \nWhat is needed?  Individuals to plan a fun fundraising activity (one of the above or something totally different). \nIf interested\, please contact Steve Stroiman (stevestroiman@gmail.com).

SUMMARY:Winter Seed Propagation Course with the Mt Airy EcoLab
DESCRIPTION:Join a class and learn the basic of winter seed propagation with the Mt. Airy Ecolab! This workshop will contain a short presentation\, some seed sharing (optional: bring local\, native seeds if you have them!)\, and step-by-step instructions for methods to grow your own seeds in winter. We will cover 3 methods for propagation that you can easily use in your own backyard to grow native meadow flowers\, under-represented woody edibles\, or strategic biodiversity-enhancing plants to support an increase in biodiversity across Mt. Airy and Greater Philadelphia. One specific goal of this course – for any who wants to join in the effort – will be to grow out pollinator plants for the Ecolab’s pollinator garden. \nSuggested donation: $15 \nRSVP Here
