But the recent skyrocketing price of homes have put these properties out of reach for many\, particularly Black families. \nAs a result\, there is a concern that Mt. Airy is losing its distinctive character. Some Black residents have even noted a sense of exclusion\, that they don’t belong. This is troubling. \nMANDI—Mt. Airy Neighborhood Diversity Initiative—is a multiracial grassroots group of Mt.
